For more than fifteen years, Picture-THIS has responded to the growing photographic and imaging needs of Bay area businesses. As a result, the company has evolved from a black & white photofinishing lab into a “one-stop” visual communications resource, offering a wide array of products and services with the operational capabilities necessary to meet the quality, pricing, and time sensitive demands of it's clients.

Principle Owners

Ken Shaw and Yvette Selva have been residents of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1990. Their careers have followed similar paths from production roles with national television broadcasters through to directorial positions with international high-tech and communications equipment manufacturers. Ken holds a diploma of technology in Broadcast Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, in Canada and Yvette holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.

Ken Shaw’s numerous career highlights include: teaching positions at the British Columbia Institute of Technology; technical supervision of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics’ international broadcast facilities; product management of several new broadcast industry technologies with Ampex Corporation and the direction of west coast product marketing operations for Chyron Corp.

Ken has been developing Sericon Media Productions since 1996 as a primarily part time business in digital communications design and business graphics. His exacting technical standards, artistic abilities and excellent customer management skills have insured repeat business and word of mouth referrals from companies across the spectrum ranging from Hewlett-Packard Company, in high-tech, through to Tansy Development Company, in commercial and residential real estate development.

Early in her career Yvette enjoyed successful positions in sports TV mobile operations, video editing and broadcast master control room operations. She then transitioned to equipment manufacturing where she has since gained over 7 years marketing management experience in broadband Internet services and hardware platform development including strategic partnership and business development; product marketing and management. Yvette has also developed and managed departmental budgets of close to $2MM.

Both Ken and Yvette have extensive experience in managing clients, employees and associates in the domestic and international arenas. The acquisition of Picture-This was calculated to provide for the quick expansion of their current business base from digital design to digital design and printing services. They are confident that their extensive skills, experience and dedication will insure the successful future of their new venture.
